Oh dear, not ten?  Or at least eight?  I'm pretty sure that it isn't possible to superimpose the two sets, even through higher dimensions, because of parity constraints.  Unless you radically redefine "finger", I suppose.  If you consider the spatiotemporal continuity of Tarvek's body back to groups of dividing cells in utero...

One of my guesses proved right for a change: that Tarvek gained knowledge when the Hideous Extra-Dimensional Monstrosity™ briefly ingested him.

I wonder if there will be long-term effects on him. This probably doesn't constitute a second breakthrough, but he might keep some unusual abilities.

Seeing new things does tend to set Sparks off. Even the insides of monsters, probably.

I dunno, he's starting to look a bit fiery in that one panel. He might not be breaking through just yet but his feet may be on the road.

And still they just accept and implicitly trust Glass Helmet Visitor even though nobody knows why they're there or who they are.

Well, of course they trust them. They're a vozzler! Children *love* vozzlers! Doesn't everybody?

I'm starting to suspect that a "vozzler" may be something like "clown" or "host of a children's program" or "person who makes balloon animals". Or maybe some sort of "extreme sports" person, like a skateboarder. GHV's abilities to anchor things in time or to swap properties of later versions with earlier versions may be the equivalent of making origami figures or doing card tricks or performing skateboard stunts.

I wonder if GHV's "gun" is actually some sort of device to emit the extradimensional equivalent of fart noises . . .

The Vozzler's comment suggests that there's an orderly society on the other side of the dimensional barrier. What if these creatures aren't hostile at all but just disoriented? If interdimensional contact drives humans mad, it might do the same to them.

It's very easy to stop discerning left from right, however. Seeing how it's a learned thing.
