We'll see if my assertion that Klaus and Trelawney's opinions and/or wishes are irrelevant to the principals is accurate. I'll also give points that, when it happens, Agatha will have, if not won Klaus over, at least partially assuaged his worries. Of course, I won't rule out Gil/Trewlaney+Agatha/Tarvek. I also, knowing something of Phil's history, not rule out One True Foursome. (Or sixsome, adding Zeetha/Higgs. Or eightsome, adding Violetta/Oh my gosh he's been out of view so long I can't immediately recall his name, ah, von Zinzer. Or tensome...

I suspect that the solution to the question "Gil or Tarvek?" is similar to Klaus' backstory, and that it was foreshadowed *very* early in the comic: Can't Agree on a Hat ..."

Trelawney's yielding to browbeating by Klaus seems out of character. Especially because she likes Gil.

I don't think she's yielding to Klaus. I think she's yielding to Albia.

I wouldn't say she's yielding as she was already on that course. Klaus is showing he sees through Albia's scheme and that he approves. While at the same time allowing the reader to catch up with the plot if they hadn't already seen the writing on the wall in the previous strips.

As far as political marriages go, one where there seems to be an easy relationship already there, is a bloody good start.

And what are Trelawney's real feelings about Gil? or Wooster?
