But what if Krosp is right? What if it isn't ground up Old Tobber in that jar, but just ground up beef, with his prosthetic nose tossed in to make it *look* like he was dead?
That would actually make some sense: Homlomium realizes that some Entity is trying to stop him from making some discovery. Homlomium is afraid of getting killed for real, so he fakes his death by throwing his nose and a bunch of meat in the garbage disposal, and hides in the secret passages with as much of his documents as he can carry. The Entity then tries to destroy the remaining evidence of what Homlomium was working on, and Homlomium responds by getting his notebooks into the hands of Agatha and others who might be able to use it.
So, we would then have two (maybe three, if Violetta is in on the whole hiding-in-the-passages thing) individuals helping some people, hindering others, and either dropping off or destroying critical information.
We know for sure that Klaus can vat-grow human bodies. And that Dr. Vapnoople was horrifically evil. I wouldn't be too surprised if Krosp had had a chance to taste "human food" before.
It depends on whether that was a plot point or a "Krosp being a cat" joke to relieve the tension. We'll find out tomorrow, unless there's another scene switch.
