EDIT: When we first encounter Tarvek, consider his position vis a vis his family, the Order's plot, The Other, his and his sister's plot. Add the TOTALLY unexpected arrival of a REAL Heterodyne Princess and a Wulfenbach airborne assault on Sturmhalten. We readers were kept unsure of where his loyalties were.
