Is the prospective maid with whom lady Ariadne Steelgarter was going to fill this glaring vacancy (or rather 2 vacancies now, so it's probably still going to happen) a… colleague of Wooster and Thorpe? B. Is the nice lady vocally dedicated to purely aesthetic interests herself… not as simple as she sounds?
Because if her speech was started to reach the foregone conclusion "a local servant have to be attached to the Heterodyne retinue", it would be exactly the same.
And a proper party to wear it at? I hope so -- it's high time -- but I suspect even if she does the occasion will rapidly be interrupted by something dress-destroying.
