They were all constructed from parts - Boris just had the arms added.

The extra arms (and all the connecting muscles and nerves and stuff) are parts! Possibly parts cloned from Boris, though?

I thought there'd been an assertion that constructs were (usually?) immune, but would have to go hunting for a reference.
