I suppose that's Klaus, standing alone. I suppose Captain Patel evacuated with the rest of the bridge crew. I suspect Klaus is interpreting his orders in a way that leads to his own death, after his attempt to lock himself out of the enslavers' reach was exhausted.

I can't tell if that's a funny hat or something he's holding just above his face.

Maybe a helmet with its own air supply so that they can flood the place with C-gas?

Not enough detail in the figure to convince me it's Klaus, but I don't have other supportable guesses.

The image might not prove that it's Klaus, but I am convinced that after giving orders that will cause a boiler explosion he would not allow anyone else to stand lone vigil on the bridge.
