It looks like the Black Squad took Klaus out of town and left his device hanging in the air. The orders our guy reported were to take him to Castle Wulfenbach.
An unpleasant surprise for Dolokhov. For Tweedle? He may or may not be happy to have a shot at killing Klaus.
And...we're back to 'Klaus is out, somewhere, doing something that he thinks is for the best, but complicated by the things he doesn't know/doesn't believe/believes wrongly about Agatha, and by the fact that he's still wasped and at least one version of the Other is loose out there'. [I was so hopeful that the echoes meant he was still stuck.]
So...who did they leave outside who might be able to prevent whatever Klaus is doing now that he's out of Mechanicsburg and Gil and Agatha (and Tarvek) are inside? And how long has Klaus been out?
