I think that what's happening is a bit reminiscent of John E. Stith's Redshift Rendezvous and the slow propagation of images in a region whose speed of light has been vastly slowed.
Klaus was standing still for some time near the epicenter of an effect that slowed down everything, even light. Photons were leaving his body, showing his location. Then he was touched by one of the kidnappers, who were immune to the slowing, and transmitted that immunity to Klaus while they were in contact. Klaus fought back, which included moving to a slightly different location. Klaus remained "faster than light" until he broke free, and was frozen in place again. Light began to be reflected from him again, showing his new location. Another kidnapper grabbed him, etc., repeat many times.
This isn't entirely consistent with what we've seen. A non-slowed person would be able to walk through such a slowed image, and would sweep up any photons they intersected, as a person walking through rain gathers water. But the question of how light would really interact between a slowed environment and a non-slowed person is kind of swept under the rug — physics is bound to be wonky.
1) Its a sequence of snapshots through time from the baron moving around. 2) Its images from a series of alternate reality versions of Klaus. 3) Its deliberate obfuscation to hide the real Klaus.
I don't think its simply option 1. Those dont look like a consistent series of images unless Klaus is tossing the sphere up and down. I assume the sphere is the take-5 device. But some of them look like they could form a consitent timeline. So I think its a combination of 1 and 2.
