Fast and furious scene changes! I'm assuming these things are happening ~simultaneously, rather than jumping around in time.
Geisterdamen waiting (or looking) for Agatha when Mechanicsburg is unfrozen will go over *fabulously* with Klaus. Bang might be the only person present he'll even consider listening to. Maybe some of the generals.
Updating Klaus on the schism and sheer amount of usurpation could actually help. In that this creates strange loops, which add ambiguity to any control not by the ghost of Lucrezia herself. And maybe even then, if the existence of captive copies was as much as guessed. Thus making his leash unreliable. Preferably after an order cancelling all previous commands. Actually, this may also generate a lesson on “fixing” things that already are kind of starting to work. Though the Sparks would comically ignore it, of course.
Entirely too plausible, and well foreshadowed by Gil's disapperance.
Worrying thought: if Klaus is missing, how long has he been missing for? Gil's tunnel system couldn't get close to Klaus. Nobody (except maybe the castle? or the Black Squad?) has seen him since the time stop began. He could have gotten out of the time stop, via the Black Squad or some other means he arranged, very shortly after it started, and spent the last couple of years in Skiffander with his wife arguing about Gil's status, or who knows what else?
