That's closer to a cordial relationship between the ginger cat and Martellus than I'd expected. Well, Martellus figured out that Krosp was telling him true things even if they weren't things he wanted to hear. Perhaps he'll be better at hearing some of those difficult things from the ginger cat than from other humans.
⚙️ Whose brain -- or brains, plural -- did Ginger get? She seems to know a lot about Europa's history.
⚙️ I'm a bit surprised that talking cats are something of a novelty in Europa. With so many Sparks running around, I'd think that someone would have hit upon a scheme to sell construct cats as expensive pets. Although their arrogance might cut down on their popularity ... Would they breed true, like the Clays did?
⚙️ Is Ginger aware of Martellus' tendency to dispose of minions he no longer has a use for? I'm thinking of the Jaeger he interrogated and then shot near the beginning of Part Two ...
Good questions. Especially the first. However, the Spark added brains would not be passed to offspring. This made me wonder: since Klaus is a construct of three brothers, is it possible that - genetically speaking - Klaus, the head, is actually Gil's uncle?
• It's not history, it's mythology that was actively propagated but a few years ago. • Perhaps because they tend toward disloyal and "heathenish" attitudes? That's not what most Sparks look for. Remember that guy with guardian slime? • Jäger was not his minion.
It's only Moldovian Puffs that are described as untrustworthy and heathenish, but cats generally are more difficult to set to a task not of their choosing than, say, Martellus' "big hairy dog monsters" are.
The Jäger was not Martellus' minion, but Martellus has no apparent compunctions about sacrificing anyone (except himself and maybe Seffie) if it forwards his ambitions. The ginger cat has had some time to talk with Seffie, who I expect has Things To Say About Martellus, and quite possibly also to do some observing of humans (will she use her cuteness as effectively as Krosp does?) and reading or other research. She probably has some idea of the risks, and also of how critical she is to him currently. (If he killed her, would he have time to build another Agatha-substitute before the withdrawal reaction knocked him flat again?)

That is an interesting question, especially as some of Krosp's abilities are the result of the use of a great general's brain in his construction. Was Ginger just a general uplift, and if not where could Martellus have found an appropriate brain on short notice?
Sapient constructs seem to be assumed to be attached to some spark, defaulting to the one they were built by, but transferable. How much this is because most of the are engineered to be "natural minions" and how much is because it's safer for them to have the protection of a spark given the general population's (quite reasonable) dubiousness about spark creations is unclear.
I suspect that talking cats who are substantially smarter than the average human would not go over well as pets even before figuring in the suspicions about constructs.
Seffie left with the expedition to the mainland, but Martellus is with her. I think I can claim partial points on this. This comic has an uncanny ability to make my predictions fare worse than random chance. So here's another: Martellus's army will show up near Mechanicsburg just as Gil and Tarvek have brought the Polar Lords' blitzkrieg to a standstill and will mess everything up.
The cat (which still doesn't have a name) is smarter than she seemed at first, or at least better informed.

I'm going to continue to call her "Ginger," until a canon name is announced. (I hope it doesn't turn out to be "Mary Ann"!)
