I disagree, but only because I don't think Violetta would need to put the lights out to deliver it unseen.

If she were tracking her attacker, her absence would be explicable, but why o why would she hide that she survived from this crew?

1. Because she isn't sure the Lady Steelgarter is the only one who considers her an inconvenient witness. Or maybe even overheard some of her conversation with mysterious partner.
2. Because it's easier to sneak around when no one makes sure she is somewhere else before engaging in covert activity, or even considers that there's a Smoke Knight at large in the dome.
