Le Petit Ch√Ęteau may have convinced Tarvek that it had good intentions. Now it just has to convince Colette (and Paris). :)

Oh, come now.

You don't honestly think that was =Colette= speaking, do you?

I'm betting Zola, channeling Lucrezia.

Yes, I think it was because neither Zola nor Lucrezia has been close enough to Tarvek to find out what that thing he's talking to is. Plus, the word Colette--who may possibly now be possessed by her father's spirit--uses is "vandal". Why would Lucrezia call it that? The Master considers it to be an interloper so the word choice is appropriate.

I just hope Tarvek and Der Kestle can convince Colette that Agatha had nothing to do with the Master's murder.

Seeing as Colette now knows 'everything' (including all her father experiences with the Heterodynes and their minions) she may now have zero tolerance for DK being plugged into her city.

On the other hand Beausoleil has several bodies so it could be one of those. Or perhaps the Master himself speaking through one of the big fighting clanks? (probably not).

Don't forget Gil and Higgs are both heading to Paris. Gil could be be angry seeing Tarvek and Higgs could be pleased to see his old mate DK.

Or it's a new character. Nah, the Professors would never to do that :-)

The out-of-frame balloon and surprised looks don't make sense to me for someone who was just in the scene. On the other hand, Zola wouldn't care whether Colette and the City are unhappy about the Master's death. I'm guessing some other member of Tarvek's extended family.

Just because she was just in the scene doesn't mean she's not surprising now. Indeed, it may be her transformation is all the more surprising because it was so quick.

I don't see Colette as having that level of equanimity at the moment, and I expect her to be focused on her attackers.

Did Zola ever speak with the Spark voice?

From the novels, Zola is not a spark. Gil noted that the Queen of the Dawn did not appear to be a spark - no noticeable improvements/enhancements to the Other's devices.

But someone made the hive engines smaller and the wasps are now the size of mosquitoes...

We've already seen that the Order has sparks--I can't remember the name of the one who produced the spark-affecting hive engine that got the Baron. Even though the Order is presumably no longer cooperating with Lucrezia, it's not unlikely that Lu has sparks available to her.

Snarlantz was the spark who made the original spark-wasp: http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20060731

And yes, others have been involved as well: http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20150619

That's why I thought it was Colette and not Zola. But I suppose we'll find out on Wednesday!

I'm pretty sure no she hasn't (at least not in the web-comic)
But she does have a copy of Lucrezia inside her head...

That's what I'm thinking. The words just don't sound right for Zola or Colette, or even Colette possessed by Voltaire.

I'm not good at identifying voice balloon styles. Who's speaking from outside the frame?
From: [personal profile] themadkansan
Usually seen when a spark is angry - I don't think it's Colette, though. My guess is Zola, channeling her copy of Lucrezia.

You're supposed to wonder until Wednesday.

...but then it might also be Beausoleil.

I don't imagine he would be any too pleased to find Tiny and Tarvek meddling in his masters' plans...

Interesting thought! He does have multiple bodies, though, so far, the only clank we've seen with the Spark are the dingbots. I don't know that he could project the Madness Place through his facsimiles. I guess we'll see.
